We keep this short and honest. We collect what we need to run the marketplace, and nothing we don't.
What we collect
- Account data: email, username, display name, and (optional) avatar, bio, location.
- Marketplace activity: Wants, offers, messages, reviews you post.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and debugging.
What we don't collect
We don't sell your data. We don't track you across other sites. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. We don't store payment card details — those are handled by certified payment processors when payments are introduced.
How we use your data
- To run the marketplace (match Wants with offers, deliver messages, show profiles).
- To moderate the community and investigate reports of abuse or fraud.
- To send transactional emails (offer notifications, password resets, security alerts).
Who can see what
Wants, profiles, and reviews are public so collectors and sellers can find each other. Messages and offers are visible only to the participants and authorized moderators. Email addresses are never shown publicly.
Your rights
You can update your profile or delete your account at any time from account settings. On account deletion we remove your profile and personal data; public records of completed transactions may be retained in anonymized form for fraud prevention.
If you are in the EU, UK, or California you have additional rights (access, portability, erasure). Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Data storage
Data is stored with our infrastructure provider on encrypted servers. We use industry-standard security (HTTPS, hashed passwords, row-level access control).
Children
The marketplace is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will notify users of material changes to this policy in-app or by email.
